my approach is out of the norm
You deserve good photos to showcase for a lifetime; The best way I’ve been able to give you that is by making our time together an ‘experience’ rather than just going from one pose to another; this way, we’re capturing your celebration in all it’s glory as it unfolds. It’s a beauty you might not see from your shoes on an everyday basis, but that’s what I’m looking for as we plan and as I sit beside you and go about life with you for those few hours. Regardless of what’s gone on in your day, week, or year, I just want you to see that spark you know is there, deep down. That’s my goal at the end of the day – For your collection to speak that spark back into you; Whether it’s during a portrait session or as you’re getting saying “I Do.”
In a world where art is filled with shallow sentiments just for Instagram-worthy stories, I’m constantly looking to get real with you. I look for a mix of romance and raw perfection in all that I do.
my artistry
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, I’m a multi-passionate, photographer – I grew up in Central Washington, and Northern Idaho, and have always considered myself to have a small-town heart. I’m layers of hard work, deep empathy, and a ridiculous passion for my homestead and chickens. In 2008, I hopped on a plane with $160 to my name, and moved from my small hometown to Adventure in Alaska, guiding tours through the interior and chasing spontaneity. I’ve lived as far north as Alaska, and as far south as Oklahoma and New Mexico. Even though my travels have taken me many places, I will always claim the Northwestern states as home.
I’m all about having my cake, eating it too, and sharing some with you. My blind optimism never steers me wrong (or maybe I wouldn’t know, because I’m constantly making lemonade out of it).
I believe in celebrating family & friends, green chilies, spending life living in the moment, editing my photos to candid perfection (mostly this), and basking in every moment I have with my husband Josh, and our sweet blue eyed son, Jax.
